Another succesful week-end
The wife and I had another succesful outing on Green River Lake this past Saturday. Mainaining our average of 10 keepers per outing, (Saturday mornings) even after uping our keeper size to 10" (9" are legal) several outings ago. Don't feel we have been doing too bad with all the heat, etc.
Where exactly did we catch them you ask???? right in the LIP!!!:D

Well,
Last week-end (9/15)wasn't so hot. That cold front w/ North wind on that North /South bay had them tight mouthed. Managed to pick up a 24" Drum. Landed him on Ultra light and 4lb. Fun!
Today, put seven in the cooler. No big ones though. All about 10". Did pick up another channel cat. Will try new spot next week-end.

I was checking on this place, and seems to be within a days ride for me, just a few hours or so. The place itself seems very interesting from above.
Especially From Google Earth.
I'm making up this dream fishing week where I hit a new lake every other day camping there that night. I think I'm going to have to make this one of the places I go. Looks like some great fun, and sounds like I might even be able to get some decent fishing in as well :D.

Wish I could give the "Hot Skinny" on campgrounds, there are several on the lake, State Park, Holmes Bend, .... The Lake is local to me, so I just go home!!! I am just learning the lake myself. I have been fishing the Butler Creek, Casey Creek, and Snake Creek areas. Crappie Pappy has had more experience in past years than myself, and may have even camped there!
I think he is more familiar with the Robinson Creek area, which is in the State Park campground area. (Holmes Bend would be closer to my area.)
When are you planning this Dream Fishing Week? This fall? Next Spring?

In the spring, this up coming year, and I'll be doing a few long haul trips within the state here in a few weeks, so I am looking forward to it very much. The best part is by spring I'll have a boat. :D.
