I'm a local up here in Lousiville, KY in Jeffersontown so I have a few nice places within a half hour drive both Taylorsville Lake, and Guist Creek Lake.

Guist Creek is definately a smaller lake but it is full of small inlets and great fish. At this point I only fish from the bank because I have no boat, but it's still great fishing on occassion. I haven't caught too many large crappie in any super-abundance, but I've definately cought some nice large crappie outta there.

I've never used minnows there but jigs fire them up! If anyone is in the area and wants to meet up sometime to fish either of these lakes, either pm me or just post in the ky forum and from here on out I should catch it [I just found this wonderful place a few days ago].
