haven't tried the night bite yet myself. Gonna make one more daytime outing this weekend on Kentucky lake. Plan on tightlining early and then will experiment with trolling some crankbaits throughout the day.

Trolling cranks, and nightfishing are two things that I have little to no experience with at all. Guess you just gotta get out there and try and through trial and error hopefully figure something out.

I tried once last year at Barren River Lake....got pretty disgusted with it! Got to the lake after dark and couldn't find any store open to buy minnows. Poor planning on my part. It's hard to be confident and stay out there when your not exactly sure what your doing and not catching anything! Be nice to have someone knowledgable show you how.

I think my next game plan will be just to set up in an area where I know the crappie are near. I'm thinking over a deep creek channel. Throw out some lights and see what happens.
