    Default Rough River or Nolin

Anyone fishing Rough or Nolin? How is the water level or bit for crappie? I usually put in at north fork and plan to fish Sunday.

I am going to guess the bite is real slow simply because because this message board has been very slow. There has only been one or two post a day and when the fish are on, you get a new message every hour or so. I can't elp other then that. I am heading to Lake Cumberland in a few hours and have been trying to figure out if they are biting there. I am guessing not and switching to smallmouth and stripers. Good luck and sorry I can't help you out more.

    Default Rough River

Water level is at 490.7 feet which should have it in the stick-ups. But we've had a lot of rain here in Meade County, so Rough may be muddy. I heard thru the grapevine, they were catching the black crappie on the banks spawning in Northfork, but can't confirm. Try the slough right behind Tom & Als old place right across from the ramp. There's been a lot of boats in there fishing the shallow water. A friend went last week and caught approx 75 with only 11 keepers. I haven't made it down there yet, but hope this info helps a little.
