I am new to trolling crankbaits as well. I’ve been 4 times and am fortunate enough to have found a spot that for now is holding some fish, but wonder what will happen as water warms up. I will say I have caught the biggest crappie I have ever caught on average with crankbaits. Another benefit i believe is you cover a lot of water and learn so much about the lake as far as structure by watching your sonar and downscan screens.
