    Default Lake Cumberland

Heading to Cumberland this weekend. Anyone know where I can get a priintout of where the ramps are open? Anyone know what is biting. I would love to fish for crappie, but will switch to striper or bass if need be. Suggestions would be appreciated.

    Question Loosing More Water

Hey I heard today from a buddy of mine that works for the Corp Of Engineers that they are gonna have to pull an additional 30' of water out of Lake Cumberland to fix the Dam. What's that gonna do to the fishn' up there?

Anyone else do any fishing on Cumberland. Obviously I have a choice between the smallmouths, stripers, and crappie but would rather fish for crappie if they are biting. Need suggestions for where to go on the lake for any of the different fish. Help!!!!

    Open Ramps:

    Burnside Island State Park
Cave Creek ( Approx. 15 foot of concrete left, then Mud)
    Conley Bottom Marina
    Cumberland Point
    Fall Creek
    Grider Hill Marina
Halcomb's Landing (Small boats 20" approx.)
    Jamestown Marina
    Lee's Ford Marina
Waitsboro ( small boats less 20' approx.)

    Closed Ramps:

    Alligator Dock #1
    Alligator #2
    Beaver Creek Dock
    Buck Creek Dock
    Burnside Marina
    Fishing Creek
Lake Cumberland State Dock (construction reasons)
    Lakview
    London Dock (mud)

That's all I know, Jigboy ....... but, I've heard that they've been catching Crappie in the backs of creeks, around shallow submerged brush. Don't know what the rains may have done to things, but ... best Crappie I've caught from C-land, came from a muddied up cut
..... luck2ya, brother ... and let us know how you did !!

Well we went to Lake Cumberland. Had a good trip but we did not crappie fish. We went for stripers and only did that for a few hours. Had no luck with the stipers but my wife caught a 18lb cat fish that was fun to watch her fight. The ramp was great and water was clear. I do regret not taking my crappie gear but it was a fun time anyway. People are missing the boat not going there. The water was clear and there are plenty of ramps to use.

A buddy of mine owns one of the few houses on the lake and he has a ramp next to him - The ramp is clear out of the water - However, it is a gradual decline and with a 4x4 you can still get your boat in. His house is in conley bottom and the local fisherman love that the water is down because they don't have to worry about all the competition. However, all the business'es hate it.
