    Default Cold Weather and crappie???

Will the cold weather effect how the crappie are acting? Do you think it will cause them to move off the bank and into deeper water??

Females are still in deep water. They will remain there until the weather stabiilizes. Males may move out for a couple of days. The weather has been so crazy this year that nobody can be sure. That's my opinion though.

I agree with crappiehound....they will move out for a little while but it will be better in a week or so. Personally, I am heading on family vacation, so the front will just hold things off a little bit until I get back.

Caught 16 keepers in 2' or less water on Thurs 5th. Noticed water temp had allready droped 5 to 6 degrees from 64. Mid North Barkley. Haven't been back since but suspect fish are goin deeper now w/ such cold nights.

We just got back home from Jonathon creek a little while ago. We were there since tuesday and we only caught 2 fish 13''& 11" in 20' of water. Others told us the fish stopped biting a week ago.

    Thumbs up It'll Get Better

I'm in about the same boat as Jigboy. I'm on the boat right now & this cold front is gonna help me! The front hit right on the tail end of the Black Crappie spawn and the front end of the White Crappie spawn. The falling temps will hold the Whites off oh..... a week or so. When the weather warms up and the winds turn back out of the south... Look out! The Whites are gonna come & come hard! I get off Tuesday the 10th and I plan on beating'um up starting on the 11th! :D Have faith; they're not done yet. :D
