I believe this coldfront getting ready to hit may help you out. I am hopefull it will because I can't go down until you are going. If this cold front didn't go through, it has been so warm, I believe you would be to late. Good luck.

I am pretty familiar with Blood River, In relation to Wildcat Creek boat ramp where is Cypress Cove? Is it towards Irwin Cobb or towards Crappie Hollow? We are heading down the 14th thru the 20th of April. Do you think we will be to late for the crappie to be on the banks? Any info would greatly be appreciated. This is our 6th year of fishing the Blood River and we always try to hit it around Easter.

This cold front will certainly help but you will definantly be on the down side of the spawn. The Blacks will be all but done & the Whites will be finishing up. The water temps really jumped quick this year. About as quick as I can ever remember. There will still be fish to be cought but you may have to work a little harder for them. I'm on the boat right now and get off on 4/10. I may get a day or two of the good stuff but from what I'm hearing from my fish'n buddies its building twards the peak right now. I have prayed for cold fronts the whole time I've been gone and finally got one. But water temps back in the bays are already in the high 60's and the lake is on a slow rise.
Just my opinion.
Good Luck! :D

If I'm not mistaken, Cypress is a few bays south of Blood River on the Tennessee state line. Pull up one of the maps online to be more specific.Originally Posted by robert fox
