    Default Rough River

Is the lake fishable yet. Someone told me the other day that you could practically jump across near Northfork. I love fishing Rough but if the water is that low it can't be good and I really don't want to ruin my motor by hitting all sorts of rocks.

    Default Rough River

    Jigboy,

Level is at 480 which should put it into the stick-ups. Haven't talked to anybody who's fishing Rough but that's the level we wait for when they're dropping it in the fall.

we were down 2 weeks ago at northfork and it had not come up any.. Hopefully it will get to summer pool soon so we can chase those crappie down. we had pretty good luck there the last 3 years.. just got back from reelfoot though so i'm gonna have to lower my expectations a little bit!! you get used to seeing 1lbs and up there.

Thanks for the input. I agree the last three years have been pretty nice there. I can usually catch a limit without even cranking the big motor at northfork. Looking forward to going to Rough as soon as we get some water.

I usually fish around the cave creek area, although never have much luck, is the north fork part better for the crappie? Been up there a few times, but it seems like more boat action, maybe not going far enough.

I have always had success around Northfork but I have not been yet this year. I am trying to figure out where to go this weekend but if I go to Rough, it will be in the Northfork area.
