Cumberland at summer pool in February???
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!
Looks like I'll be better off building more stake beds the next few days off.

I fished at Danville yesterday (Tennessee River, Kentucky Lake). Muddy water, lots of current. The state runs a ferry at Danville, the amount of current in the main channel from 240,000 CFS was amazing. Normally the ferry goes back and forth between the two landings. Yesterday, the current would move the ferry 200 yards north before he could cross the main channel.
Be careful as well, full size trees headed north, along with lots of other floating objects.

Fished ledges near the mouth of Big Sandy Tuesday afternoon for 3 hrs. Just as I motored under the Paris Landing bridge, my boat jumped North about 10ft from strong current surging around piers. That should have been an omen! Once up in the Sandy, the water color was stained, but fishable. However, the water was being pulled out of the Sandy. Wind at 10 and strong current was tough on the bite... at least for me... 5 keepers and 10 dinks with one 13 in. fish and 4 under 11 in... 2 of the fish were fat and looked healthy. The rest of catch were skinny and no bait fish in their bellies.

Cumberland is above tree line ,still rising
Kentucky/Barkley on their way up now. I haven't been out but I got a picture from a friend last night rubbing it in because I am working of 40 nice fish from Kentucky Lake, didn't have to measure many of them.

Water above tree line and wind blowing hard enough to have white caps in a minnow bucket. Temp is really good...hope to get on Cumberland this week.

4+inches of rain predicted in the next 7 days, Cumberland will be unfishable for weeks
Seems to be raining all over. A lot of lakes that I have fished in the past are at summer pool or higher already. Was hoping for a good spring but water levels may be problematic for awhile. I agree that Cumberland is going to be a real mess for a couple of weeks...maybe it will settle down by March.
