As you fish more you'll get a feel for what you're looking for. A big thing to help to is in the summer when you can push or pull jigs/cranks see the fish on the fish finder then catch them you'll know what to look for. A lake with a lot of crappie like green helps you on learning technikes and your equipment like fish finders and stuff.


Then when you go somewhere like Cumberland and you can catch them consistently you know you are on fire. I fish green a lot :-).

Yeah ... but Green is 8,000 acres & Cumberland is 65,000 acres, so Cumberland is basically 8 Green River Lakes in size.
