I remember the last year the Shindig was held at Big Bear, my attitude was a lot like yours. Then I met Doug, Chaunc, and I believe it was Chaunc's nephew at the weigh in. It was both an enlightening and a humbling experience. That day went on to be great, and met a lot of great folks. Everything I ate that day had a little taste of crow to it.

Mike, I truly hope you are correct. I will gladly contribute my entry fee to see one of our members who travel to our event win the fruit jar. Just be aware you are going to be facing some of the best in the country. Not just from our area but from all over the country. Them local boys aren't going to lay down. They will have their game face on.

Russ, the 3rd guy that day was Tim Odem, we call him TO, but he's a friend of Chaunc (and all of us whom have had the pleasure of meeting and especially fishing with him). He and Chaunc love to catch them goos!!

Good to go! Got my reservations nailed down just last night at Fin N Feather, cabin #9. Can't wait to see all those bright and shining faces again. All that tournament money I win won't mean a hoot to me . It'll be good to get back together again, can't wait.

Looking like I might be able to spend a chunk of Saturday with you folks. I'd love to make it. Current plan is to stop in Bowling Green Friday night to visit with a friend and I'll have all day Saturday.

the Fall Shindig is open to all CDC members and their guest. We startt the weekend on friday with our Fruit Jar Tourney and then friday night have a meet and great with Whiskers chili and sides. great time to meet alot of people and do alot of BSing.
On Saturday we will start registering around 8am and will eat at 11
we usually have some great seminars presented with question and answer during the sessions.
wind up the day with some giveaways and raffle for items duriong the day. All money raised is given to a charity. Last year we gave over 800.00 to the Local Rescue Squad.
