Today has been a struggle. I didn't sleep well at all, up at 4:30am, tried to lay back down and finally threw in the towel at 5:30am.
Tried to get out this morning with littlemama to get our son's Christmas and I had to use a buggy to keep me from wobbling too much.
The looking left to right, or looking up to down just sends me into an unsteady state. Pain hasn't been much of an issue thus far. The internal twitches slowly started this afternoon. Sunday will be day 3, so I am hoping for some rest tonight to deal with the potential day 3 problems.
We are blessed to have so many folks praying for us, the cdc family is so very much supportive of one another!
Oh, forgot one thing.......GO BIG BLUE!

Praying for you, your wife, and the employment situation. This is the first time I've seen one of your posts. If you have meniere's, we are very familiar with it. My son had problems for years before they diagnosed it properly. His surgery went great, and he has done well for years now. Hopefully, your surgery will fix things up for you.
God Bless,
Eric

I was diagnosed with otosclerosis which is the hardening of the hearing bones in the middle ear. The balance issue's are just part of the recovery due to the cutting the ear drum away from the ear, the swelling, blood and internal fluids that are naturally suppose to be there that are drained. It's not fun to say the least...

Brian, I hope you are getting better daily. After my bout of what was originally diagnosed as vertigo in August/Sept (re-diagnosed as blocked blood vessel in my inner ear) I can feel for anybody with balance issues.

Pain started late yesterday with the internal twitches slowly starting up.
Feel like I slept decent last night. Got up this morning, and didn't have any immediate balance issue's so I took my first shower since the surgery. Feel partially human!
I have never just sat well, lay around, and take it easy. I'm always into something, but this sitting is about to kill me. I have to be careful and not get my blood pressure up because my head starts pounding, then my ear hurts.
No fear, Jo Ann is watching over me like a hawk! I can't do much without being asked where are you going, what are you doing, what do you need, and what can I do for you! Yep, I'm spoiled rotten!![]()

Every one needs a little help now and again. Prayers for you and yours.![]()
Fish hard live hard.
Monday was just a rotten day. Full of dizziness, and just had to grunt thru the day. Worked on the job situation for most of it.
Have you ever worked on or at a computer when your dizzy and equilibrium is all jacked up??? It ain't fun!!
I actually was able to sleep last night, woke up very little thru the night. And got up feeling rested this morning, almost feeling like myself a little bit with some piss and vinegar!
The twitches are coming in the late afternoons and evenings, each day being a little different. Imagine a 12" spike driven into your ear, and a twitch is somebody hitting that spike with a 2lb sledgehammer. There is nothing that you can do for it, put on it, rub on it, ect..... just part of it. The ear has been draining some during the night, but she is still plugged up pretty tight. Hoping that this recovery will follow the same as my first one, where day 8 is when my ear began to pop.
It means alot to Jo Ann and I for all the support, thoughts and prayers. She has really took it harder than I actually knew when we found out that the surgery did not take. Surgery day was long enough, the stress, and not sure if his surgery would work. She is my angel, and i could not go through all of this without her!!
