Thread: Need some info on time to come down

Was going to try to come down to Kentucky lake in November or December.never been there.need some info on place to stay,best month to come.what area to fish. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.might even get a guide if you guys know one.

I happen to know a guy.

Crappie fishing can be great or it can be tough as cold weather gets going. We used to mark the calendar for Thanksgiving Day to start our crappie quest in earnest. Those were the days of paper graphs and triangulated brush piles but we caught tons of fish that were schooled tightly. Duck and goose chasing started getting in the way but that is now behind me since I gave it up to the younger guys.

Give me a call sometime. I still remember most of those great wintertime spots and have several more I've found since those days.

Lots of the small resorts will be down for the winter months but the state parks at Ken Lake and KY Dam will be open.
