The biggest I've caught out of there in the past 25 years is 14".
That was in late March when I catch my biggest ones.
I've heard stories of 18" ones but I've never seen one.
As the water warms my fish get smaller.
I don't keep them unless they're over 10".
But I fish that lake weekly and my freezer always has crappie in it
so sometimes I don't even keep those.
Most of my keepers are just over 10 and up to around 11.
I catch a 12" every once in a while.
But using a bigger jig curly tail like 3" seems to get me bigger crappie

Most of the posting sounds like my general deal, though I have had better results this fall then ever before. Years past I could catch 10 crappy and 8 or 9 would be shorts. This past fall I did not catch as many (but did switch up tactics a little bit) and was about every other one would be a keeper and a few in there would break out of the 10" mold.
