If that's the Kentucky afield video, it's really good. I prefer jigs to minnows. You can fish faster. Most river crappie I catch are from 18" to 3' deep. Fish with a good slip float or tight line the standing channel timber. Don't get hung up on one spot. I usually don't catch a bunch from on blowdown or tree top. I like to get in the channel and fish the vertical stuff. With the motor set on 20% or so, and cover water. Keep at it and you will catch some nice ones. As long as the river is stable u can can catch em shallow all year. Use a thill pro series bobber; they work really well. If ther r any marinas around they can be loaded. Vertical jig the brush if there is any. If not just cover water. Good luck
