Never had'em, and hope I never do !! But, I can sympathize with you on the ER visit ... as I spent 4hrs in the ER last week, answering the same series of questions to every Nurse, Doctor, Intern, & Attending MD that came to see me.
But ... having worked at that Hospital for 45yrs, I knew what was coming & why.

I already knew I had Bronchitis/Pneumonia ... and after a EKG, breathing treatment, chest xray, BP & Temp taken, stethoscopes listening to me take deep breaths, and answering the questions ... "Do you smoke/how much/how long" - "Do you drink" - "Do you take any meds (legal/illegal)" - "Are you allergic to anything" - etc, etc ... my diagnosis was confirmed. Yep, I was right ... Bronchitis & Rt Lower Lobe Bacterial Pneumonia.
