great to fish with friends

Got to spend Wednesday sharing the boat with MR DUX. We planned to longline the upper area above Jonathon creek. We didn't get to fish the area that produced on his previous trips because the wind was just to brutal there. We gave it a quick try anyway. Doug put his boards out and I longlined out the back. After an hour of fighting the waves, decided to pack it in and look for a more sheltered bay. We got 5 keepers but I was the gaspergoo king. I bet I caught half dozen of them buggers. Decided to give the bays south of Kenlake a look in the afternoon after stopping at Fas Eddie's for a cheeseburger. That was a good burger too. Got to the area we wanted to fish, got the boards and lines out and it was slow there too. Doug showed me one of his many redear holes and proved it would produce too. All in all it was great spending time with my buddy. Thanks Doug and also to Crappie.com for allowing me to meet these great friends I have from this area. Hey Terry, got time between trips to take a buddy from PA fishing one day?

The pleasure was all mine Kenny. Funny, we came to know each other as the result of a disagreement here. Those non-issues are way back in the past. I have to say I have never been any more privileged to sit in a boat with a more knowledgeable and capable fisherman. I look forward to our trips and once we are finished, start looking forward to the next one. I am truly excited about your brother coming down next month. I want to get the 2 of you onto some Barkley redears and gills PLUS some channel cats. I just wish TO could have came down. It is always good news to hear that his wife is doing so well after her heart transplant. I won't tell her you said she was as mean as ever.
Many times we feel the need to start making excuses for a not-so-good day on the lake. The excuses for this day would have been things neither of us could control or do anything about so we just made the best of it.
Thanks to Slab for providing us with such a wonderful forum where we can meet and become good friends with folks from all over the country as well as here at home. It also allows many of us to get re-acquainted with friends and family that have grown apart over the years.
Best wishes on your travels back to PA my friend. Take care and get ready for another week chasing them in a month.
I wasn't going to bring up the gaspergoos!

I was wondering what you were referring to.
Great story Doug. It is interesting when we look over our differences and make true friends. That friendship shares a lot of passion for our love of people we are blessed to call friends and enjoy the great outdoors with. CDC has given all of us the experience of sharing our true humanity!
