    Default Fix'n Ta Jump

We got some water come'n! TN and CUM Rivers are gonna jump.

Presently the Ohio River is at 41' and change and forecast to go higher. When Cairo gets to 40' the COE takes over control of the flow rates at KY Dam. They ALWAYS hold water back.

This means we are fix'n to probably go over Summer Pool on KY Lake for a week or 2. Then they'll pull the plug.

If they start letting it come up, it won't muddy up as bad due to the decreased flow but it will be full of trash and nice large floating objects that love lower units.

Tim, I may have run into you on Kentucky Lake on Saturday. What kind of boat were you in and who was with you? I ask because I didn't see too many others giving it a try.

Guess we can watch another spawn go down the drain with the lake level when they drop it.

She'll be dirty for a while with the water up and the waves beat'n the mud off the banks. Baring any more major rain events she should be in good shape in plenty of time for your trip.

Don't let that muddy water scare ya! I'm tell'n ya those Whites like that dirty water! Now cold dirty water is a different story.

Wiskers looks like any where in KY will be high Muddy water the next few weeks, but water temps are rising and the fish will most likely spawn unless we get a major cold front with a big drop in temps. Given these conditions, what color jigs, tube or grubs would you change to as a confidence factor?

Dark in the dirty water. 2" to 2 1/2" Black and Chartreuse curly tail is always good. Road Runners would be my choice of jig head for the vibration.

Thanks Wiskers!! I have plenty of all these and plan to get on Green Wednesday if nothing comes up. The game plan is Dark curly tails to "Proceed and Succeed" hopefully to a limit. To all, be safe on these dirty rising lakes and wear that PFD!
