I agree, but when you are traveling over 6 hours you would like to hit at the correct time and it has been looking pretty good.

She'll be dirty for a while with the water up and the waves beat'n the mud off the banks. Baring any more major rain events she should be in good shape in plenty of time for your trip.

Don't let that muddy water scare ya! I'm tell'n ya those Whites like that dirty water! Now cold dirty water is a different story.
Wiskers looks like any where in KY will be high Muddy water the next few weeks, but water temps are rising and the fish will most likely spawn unless we get a major cold front with a big drop in temps. Given these conditions, what color jigs, tube or grubs would you change to as a confidence factor?

Tim, I may have run into you on Kentucky Lake on Saturday. What kind of boat were you in and who was with you? I ask because I didn't see too many others giving it a try.

Wiskers, I saw where Birmingham,AL got hammered by flooding today. Does the water from that area drain into the TN River watershed? If it does it may be KATIE BAR THE DOOR.

I just talked to Chaunc and he said the lake is really muddying up already in the area he's fishing.

Amen Doug! Adapt to what the conditions are. It is key. Persistence always seems to pay in crappie fishin.
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Bronson. I was there Saturday by myself. I fish out of a hydrasport. Saw the mud in Ledbedder and fished on other side of bridge. Had a couple of nice ones and a 4lb smallie.

I just hope ledbedder is a lot better April 21 week. If not i may beg wiskers to help me out.

Dark in the dirty water. 2" to 2 1/2" Black and Chartreuse curly tail is always good. Road Runners would be my choice of jig head for the vibration.

Most of that water will make it's way to the Gulf via the Tenn Tom/Black Warrior I believe Dux. They got some major rain in the valley though.
