I will be in business when I get off the boat in Feb. I couldn't justify paying for a Lic. that I would only use for a couple months during the slow season.

    Thanks man.

That will be a focal point but I'll work the whole north end from Eggners to the Dam as well as Barkley from Eddy Creek north. Will probably do some limited guiding outta Blood also. I will also probably do some Rockfish (Striper) guiding below both dams.

Depends on what part of the lake my clients want to fish.

Gonna try and get some stuff in a few bays and the main lake while I'm home this time. There is a bay or 2 that I'm gonna try to limit my trips to. Just about anything I run across in 1 particular bay, is gonna be stuff my friends have put out. I know the old say'n bout once it goes over the side but it's 1 thing to fish it for fun if ya find it, but totally different issue guiding on it. My friendships are waaaaaaay more important than money!

P.S. I DON'T DO GREEN CARP & NO ZEBCOS IN MY BOAT!!!

Crap!! I pushed the "like" button before I scrolled the page down to the Zebco line. What are folks like me and cajun cooker going to do if we can't bring our go-to tackle?

I know its a lot of info but I just want to show the old man a good time; you never know how many more chances like this we got! Thanks a bunch!
It's neat that you're bringing your dad down to Kentucky for some crappie! I think about my dad a lot when I'm out enjoying an extra good fishing day. He never had a chance to fish Kentucky Lake; I only wish I could bring him back for one day on the big lake. Terry (Wiskers) will show you both a GREAT day, put you on some nice fish, and teach you a bunch about catching them yourselves. He's a heck of a guy and will keep you both in stitches. Have a great visit!

Thanks a bunch for all the input. I know what you mean about taking your dad fishing. Although we don't always see eye to eye and we butt heads a lot I want to take him on as many of these types of trips as I can. You only live once and time ticks away faster every year. Seems like yesterday I was in my 20s.. Now I am 3 years from 40!!! We have really good crappie fishing here in on Lake Shelbyville but the chance of catching a big one is limited; I have only caught 1 fish in the 2lb class but lots of 11's and 12's. 14 inches is kinda the standard BEAST here and those are hard to get. Again thank you all for your input.
