Don't post hardly at all, a lot of reading, but this post touched home. Justin, sorry for your loss. Beautiful dog!!!!! I have had dogs my whole life. I had to put 2 down. My last one was a Cavalier King Charles who was smarter than a lot of people. Died on our bed through the night earlier this year. Not a hunting dog, just a buddy. Baxter was his name. Can't pull the trigger to get another one right now. Getting ready to retire. May change my mind. Wife would get one in a minute. Hang in there. I know it's tough! Still have tears at times. :-(..........Subject change.....I fish Eddy Creek with my brother who has a lakefront home there by the marina.

Been there done that a couple of times and it seems tougher every time... but you wouldn't take anything for the wonderful memories that you have of your time together. You can't beat the loyalty and dependability of a good companion like you have had. I don't know who came up with the phrase, but truly man's best friend... and such love, loyalty and companionship is truly a blessing from God for sure.
I know your feeling of loss and feel your pain. Peace be with you brother.

A tough road to travel, been down the same one myself. time will heal, and you may change your mind about another one in the future. Best wishes.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Think of the good times you've had with her and about the only thing that will ease the broken heart will be a big slurp from the new pup. Whether you decide now or even 1 year from now a new companion will help. We never realize how special those darn pets are until they are gone.

    Sorry for your loss..........
