We always did real well there and I am going to miss it. Below is the four crappie that we took Monday.

They came on crank and spinner baits while fishing for bass.

If you need/want a partner to fish during the week let me know. I have never done any crappie fishing in the "big" lakes other than Buckhorn bay but would love to learn. I have a 1648 Jon set up for ponds.
Nice catch. You have the beginning of a decent Ky or Barkley lakes boat with a 1648. If you fish Buckhorn, you have the start to get into some good fish at times. Buy a good bow mount trolling motor, a GPS/Locator ( I have a good one for sale) and some rod holders and read up on longlining and spider rigging here on the forums. A search of the forums will get you more than you will want to read in a weekend. The secret to fishing KY Lake with a smaller boat is to trailer it to one of the many ramps close to where you want to fish. I know the ramp at Buckhorn park can get hairy in low water.
