Default Found a few on Barren

Yesterday took the boat out on Barren River Lake and found an area that hadn't gotten too muddy and put the wammy on 17 crappie that were in the 10-11" range.....not bad for an old geezer. As I was headed home I passed an ole fishin buddy that i'd fished alot with in the past and thought i'd call him and brag. Turns out he'd been fishing below the spillway and caught several too. He told me the Department of Fish and Wildlife had been down on the river shocking walleye so they could put the roe into the state's hatchery. Now with my interest peaked, I called my buddy that works for The Dept of Fish and Wildlife and he said yes they'd been on that strech of the river most of the week and asked me if i'd like to go with them....... After drying off my phone (musta slobbered all over it from the excitment) and checking to make sure i'd heard him right. I told him i'd buy his lunch if he'd take me. Loving retirement and can't wait for this adventure.
