What electronics unit to buy?

Check out your GPS on the 788 HD DI QUICK as you can get to it. I'm having major issues with mine!!! Been back to the shop once and fix'n ta go again.

I spent some time today on GRL with my 898 HD SI and 788 HD DI. The wind was terrible, but I had to try them out. The GPS worked fine on the 788. I was able to find some fish attractors put out by KFWL with both units. Have a lot to learn about both units.

Good post. Also looking to upgrade. I was under the impression that most people ran SI at the console and DI at the TM. Sounds like that impression was wrong from this post. If you could only have one SI unit where would you put it?

My SI is on console. The 898 is both SI and DI. The 788 is on the trolling motor and its DI. I think it all depends on what you fish for and where. One thing is for sure, the bigger the screen, the better.
