This year hasn't been that year that produced those big ole slobs that i've seen in the past, nor has it surrendered alot of days with massive numbers in a day. I would like to show you some trophy smiles that are keepers in my book,Name: 002.jpg

I've saved the best for last, my absolute pride and joy. My two grandaughters who discovered they like fishing. Their first time out and I didn't want to frighten them and have a short day so I started out slow. Looked over my sholder and saw two big smiles and heard "Paw paw, can we go faster?" Can you say set the hook?
Well that picture jumped to the top, but you get the idea. Thank you God for time.....and smiles. Hope your year has been as joyous and as full of smiles. Merry Christmas.

That picture of your granddaughters is very heartwarming. That may be a small fish but I am sure they have big loving memories of being out with there PaPaw. My 3 year old grandaughter Aurora caught her first crappie this year and we cleaned it and ate it just like she wanted to. I will never forget her saying" Wow,that is a big crappie papaw " Thanks for sharing your blessings !!!! Merry Christmas slabseeker1

slabseeker1 I sent you a PM. I like to take people that don't get to go fishing much fishing as well. Your right you can't put a price on a smile. Especialy a kid. I have never forgot when someone took me fishing when I was a kid. Memories of a lifetime. I guess that's why I fish everytime I get a chance.

I like the fellowship that comes with taking peeps fishing, hardly ever go by myself.

Just spending time on the water enjoying what God has given us. I love being there at daylight and watching everything waking up. Nothing more enjoyable
Take you kids fishing today!!! They will be grown (and married and have children of their on) tomorrow. Then you can take your GRANDKIDS!

It's all this mans fault (my Grandfather) ... he got me started:

He instilled a love of fishing in me, from the time I was a toddler ... all the way through my High School years ... and I haven't found a better "pastime", yet.

Same with me Pappy! My Granddaddy was the best crappie fisherman I ever sat in a boat with. That man could catch crappie out of a bucket of dirt. So many great memories!
