I have had the flu that's been going around and its been a month since my buddy and i've been on the water and we hope to remember how to fish. Friday, 12/14, we will be trying something a little different. The conditions have to be just right for what we will be attempting and all the stars seem to be aligned for it to be the perfect day. In order to fish The Barren River from Boat Landing Rd to downtown Bowling Green you must have the right amount of water being released and it sure looks like it will be just right tomorrow. Today when I called The Army Corps of Engineers the lake level was 534 and winter pool is 528, they are releasing the water on the main gate at 6 tenths. This means they will still pull the water for several more days at least at 6 tenths and the water has good color to it so we should fair well in the morning. I'll be taking my camera so if your familiar with Beech Bend or the spring at Plum Springs you might catch a glimps of some areas, and hopefully some fish, you've seen before. Keep your fingers crossed for us! I'll report back tomorow night. Boy its gonna be great ta fish again!
