Well it was a great day for a boat ride! I took a picture of a turtle sunning itself and I believe it was laughing at us as we motored passed it. Unfortunately the picture didn't turn out so well and neither did our catching. I caught one and my buddy Jerry caught one little dink also. We fished every spot that any self respecting crapppie would haunt to no avail. First time i'd gone up river into Bowling Green as far as the Old Louisville Road bridge and the trip was quite the eye full. Water depths ranged from 6' to 25' and the temperture in the river was 47 degrees while back in the spring areas rose to 55 degrees. We saw two other guys fishing for muskies and they had as much luck as we had. The water was muddy but we'd fished in water that was worse than today's on the lake before and with alot better success. Jerry kept telling me he'd seen a guy with a plow, trying to plant corn where we had just fished. He just likes to complain when we aren't pulling them in one after another. I think we may be checking this one off our bucket list.
