Default Where are the keepers at in Big Sandy?

I spent the last two Saturdays going through bunches of dinks to only scratch out 5-6 keepers a trip. Anybody else seeing the same thing or just me? Ive been all around the power lines 11-15' deep which should be the ticket right now and it is tough. Any ideas?

Still a little early yet, not to say you can't have good days this time of year, but...From what I've seen the last few years they can be pretty tough late Sept/Oct. I haven't been yet so don't have any advice other than stay after em. A friend of mine that fishes as well as anyone else that chases em on KY has been twice in the last couple weeks and had 14 and 6. Sometimes they're just tough, it will get alot better in the next 3 or 4 weeks.

I've found that when you are catch'n a lot of dinks, sometimes it helps to go with a little bigger profile presentation. Maybe tip with a med. minner. Those dinks are so aggressive I think they just beat the bigger fish to the bait sometimes.

I did this last fall. Went from a 1 1/2 inch tub on a 1/16 oz jig to a 2 inch tube tip with a med. minner on an 1/8 oz jig. Went from catch'n all dinks to pick'n up a keeper bout every other fish. Partner did the same thing.

I've been using bigger stuff too, 2" tube 1/8oz head tipped. Maybe thats how I caught the keepers I did catch . Im guessing it is a little early. Its lots of fun either way.
