I think we managed to boat 5 or 6 "keepers", out of around 30 fish caught. We were spider rigging minnows around the Holmes Bend area, over flats, brushpiles, and Shad schools ... water depths ranging from 8ft-30ft, but keeping our minnows at 8-12ft deep (since the thermocline seems to be setup at ~ 15ft). Water temps were registering in the low 80's ... lake is about 10" over Summer Pool ... water color/clarity was normal to slightly dirty (in some areas).

Had a "large time", despite the poor results. Thanks for letting me ride along, Chuck !!
Ran into Muzzy & company ... nice meeting you gents !!

Got to put my 10' Sam Heaton to use for the first time, that I won at the Slabfeast, and it did well ... though it really didn't have much "competition" to gauge it by, from the small sized fish that bit on it Rofl I hope to be able to put it to a more stringent test, against some larger fish, sometime this Fall.

    ... cp
Cp, sorry i couldn't get us on some keeper fish. I guess where i haven't been that much over the last 3-4 week, i lost where they went. I did search Sunday and found just a few more. I wll be back down this weekend and i will have them located. I did have a great time fishing and talkin with ya.

Slabeye, we were kinda running around Saturday. I can tell if its your boat by the front rod holders, if i am close enough. But Sat, i spent about 60 % looking at my depth finder and they other looking at my poles. Except when Cp was boating two fish at the same time.

Muzzy, it was good to meet you and your crew Sat. I was wanting to talk to you all at the cabins to see how you all did. When i left cuzzin and went and got my bait you all were still not at the cabins. I laid down watching a movie and that was it. Didn't wake up till 1:30 am. Even forgot to call my wife and tell her goodnite.

PS. The Central Kentucky Expo is this Saturday. See ya all there.

I see why you said it was a little difficult for two to fish up front. How much water came over the front and in to the boat from the waves?

Chucky, Cuzzin and CP...it was a joy meeting you guys. We tried to wake you up several times Saturday night, it worked for every cabin except yours....

Cuzzin, you really need to put some wax on my new boat, the first chance you get.
