Fished today from 8-2:30. Caught 15 fish with 6 keepers. Longline trolling double jigs around the Holmes Bend area. No real pattern. Caught fish in as deep as 22 feet of water, all the way up to 5 feet. Didn't speak to anyone that was doing very good.

I've had to work almst every day since I"ve been back from Alabama a couple weeks ago and then last weekend we had 4 inches of rain in 2 hours time so I didn't bother at the first of the week. I hope to get down sometime later during this next week and will post up if I make it out.

Chucky & I spent from 4AM - 2PM on Sat ... trying to establish a pattern & the location of the Crappie of Green River Lake. I think we managed to boat 5 or 6 "keepers", out of around 30 fish caught. We were spider rigging minnows around the Holmes Bend area, over flats, brushpiles, and Shad schools ... water depths ranging from 8ft-30ft, but keeping our minnows at 8-12ft deep (since the thermocline seems to be setup at ~ 15ft). Water temps were registering in the low 80's ... lake is about 10" over Summer Pool ... water color/clarity was normal to slightly dirty (in some areas).

Had a "large time", despite the poor results. Thanks for letting me ride along, Chuck !!
Ran into Muzzy & company ... nice meeting you gents !!

Got to put my 10' Sam Heaton to use for the first time, that I won at the Slabfeast, and it did well ... though it really didn't have much "competition" to gauge it by, from the small sized fish that bit on it Rofl I hope to be able to put it to a more stringent test, against some larger fish, sometime this Fall.

i cant believe it, chucky i was down around holmes bend sat. also and i had an eye for you and didnt see you all at all. i got to be one of the easiest boats to spot on the lake. a older blue glassport and i am usually fishing as far away from everybody as i can with 16' rods out everywhere. i did get my limit but it wasnt easy. greenriver has to be one of the worst places in ky. for people in big boats to see how close they can get to you and the bank. be really glad when another one hits a stump or something and ask me for help.
