    Default Below Meldahl

Water is graphing 67 degrees, and this is from 10-10, fished the end of the lock wall and it was giving up a few white bass not a whole lot just enough to to keep you there for a little bit. I trolled and was jigging the long lock wall to see if the sauger or any has made its presence and nothing. Went to bear creek jigging and throwing cranks and nothing. moved on down the river and found the green carp in indian creek and caught a few nothing major. So I took another run down by Beckjourde power plant and fished another creek with a deep hole and nothing. So then I packed it up and headed home. Once the weather cools the water alittle more it will be time to get the glass jug out and start trapping the minners.

Hey ezgo good to hear from you. Ky river is giving up some fish but you have to put alot of time in to catch um. Nice report on the Ohio. How is the construction going below the dam? Can you fish close to the discharge? Also how clear is the water? Sorry for all the questions just like to know what's going on. Thanks.

Nice report ezgo. I drove along the Ohio river last night from Cincy to Chilo. The water look good and the river was calm. It would have been a good evening to be out.

    EZGO,
Myself and 2 other buddies in boats fished below Meldahl, Friday am in the wind. We had a drum tx. I won 4.11lbs. We caught 4 nice smallmouth, cb, 2 drum cb, 10 gar, 10 nice hybrids and 10 whitebass and one sauger. Hybrids were 2-4lbs on bladebaits, silver buddies.

Hey anyone going out keep the thread moving. I would like to go but when the wind gust clime above 25 I usually tie jigs or do something else. Also you guys keep your eye on the river levels this time of year it is going to go up and down so people can plan there trip right. look at these sites, National Weather Service — Ohio River Forecast Center and The Weather Authority for Cincinnati weather, hour by hour forecasts, and doppler radar for Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and the entire tri-state area - :: Cincinnati news story :: LOCAL 12 WKRC-TV in Cincinnati I know some travel a long way to fish the dam and there is nothing worse than getting there and being supprised by a bad bite or strong wind or high water conditions. If anyone goes out in there boat when the river is on the rise just be aware of the drift that will be flowing down river. Also if for some reason you can get on the net and you want to know about the water conditions and the drift wood coming threw just give the dam a call they are always real nice. Just tell them you need the lower gauge 513-876-2921.

As a side note; PLEASE move when the barges are on their approach to the lock or they are getting ready to let one out. I hate the people that stay on the wall till the last minute. It only takes one to ruin it for everyone.

fished 10-3 and struck out water temp is graphing 53-54. It is a day by day thing now. Ramps look good no mud or muck on them. With the river up and down and you beach your boat on the side of the ramp all I can say is bring some extra shoes if you dont want mud in the boat. Good luck to all.
