Was fishing below the dam on 10/23 and the water is graping 59 and trolled and jigged both locks and not a single hit. So I went to bear creek and fished the current break and caught a hybrid and a drum. We are almost there and it should be getting good soon. Bad thing was the river was dropping so that could have hurt the bite today. I used all artificial lures today and know live bait. Like I said its getting close and things should start to pick up.

Thanks for the report. When it gets to 55 I'll be there for sure. I'll be in a Lowe Rough Neck 1960 with a Honda 90 on the back. Anybody sees me come on up and say hello.

Last year I saw that you had a save phace and was wondering does it really work to keep the cold off of your forehead, I would say it works to keep the cold off of your eyes and to keep them from watering.

fished 10-3 and struck out water temp is graphing 53-54. It is a day by day thing now. Ramps look good no mud or muck on them. With the river up and down and you beach your boat on the side of the ramp all I can say is bring some extra shoes if you dont want mud in the boat. Good luck to all.

Hey guys if anyone goes let me know how you did, sorry couldnt make it to look at the ramps bunch of overtime thrown our way and just cant pass it up. I checked the core of engineers site and it is showing on there temp graph around 43-42 so if anyone goes take some minners with ya, sometimes tipping your jig or just a minner can make for a good trip. Last time I was out in the locks I was tipping a orange curly tale with a large store bought minnow and doing pretty good. But that was quite awhile ago. Good luck
