Thread: Great Ref Job 1st Half UK/Ohio St.

Must of saw a different game than I saw. I was just an impartial observer didn't care who won but thought the referees did ok. They always make a few mistakes actually thought KY got a crucial call towards the end of the game that may have been the difference. KY had a lot of charging fouls and that got them in troeble first half and if Ohio State wasn't set they called blocking. 2nd half Ky had better recognition of the defense and it wasn't nearly the issue they did a nice job adjusting.

Your entitled to your opinion, but I don't think its possible to have that big of margin of fouls called between two teams like it was in the first half. They were moving on some of the charges called on us, and a couple were real cheap touchy stuff. They can call fouls almost every trip down the floor if they want on either team, has to be more even than it was in first. But this is just my opinion, and I am definitely biased and probably wouldn't have said anything if we were getting the best of it.

My wife sat and watched the game with me, who is not a big sports fan, and does not watch basketball but maybe a couple times a year. And she asked my several times in the first half why they weren't calling the game even. It did get better in the second half, but every time down the whistle blew on OSU's end, and UK could not get a call. It was very lopsided.
