    Default Rough River this weekend?

Has anyone fished Rough River recently and what advice can you lend for this weekend? That is of course assuming we aren't all swept away by a monsoon of our own! Looks like weather will be a little more promising at least on Saturday. Wind may be up a bit. I would like to get some water time in and maybe even catch a few!

The water is clearing up but it is still cold. Temps range from 48 to 52F. No one is catching anything worth bragging about at this time of wrighting. The water is still up in the bushes and they have just started to pull it down to summer pool , summer pool being 495 and it's at 503. It is still a little early yet but if this weather will hold out I would say it will get alot better after our next full moon on the 19th..

Thanks guys! I kinda figured as much since no one was talking about any positive action yet. Maybe this weekend I'll just hit a smaller lake and test out the boat. ROUGHSCOTT, I fish mostly north end of the lake these days and fish with some success in Tulles, Calamese etc. I used to fish more at Peter Cave back in the 90's. Overall do you think the north end more or less productive than the lower end?

They open up the gate today to let the water back down Louisville District Daily Lake Report It's still a little early yet but if this warm weather holds out for a couple of weeks we should be in good shape.. IMHO north side gets fished 2 to 1 over the north..

Thanks for the info anvil!. I may have to try Peter Cave again. It has been a long time, but I liked that end of the lake.

I am taking the wife down to Rough next weekend for some crappie fishing, I hope everything thing gets straightened out by then. If you gentlemen have any luck would you please let me know so I can get a plan together. Thank you and good luck.

Sure will! Assuming my boat doesn't give me fits tonight getting the rest of the kinks out. Batteries held up good over the winter at least!

Fished Rough this weekend. Water was murky-muddy in most places. Had to fish hard for 6 keepers. Fish were tight on cover in shallow water. Temp was 56 degrees.
