    Before drilling any holes and mounting your vertical holder make sure your rods dont hit the rod holders.

    Gonna drill the holes at a slight angle so that the rod holder will lean back away from the cross bar jusssssst a little bit.

    Oh I also drilled small holes in the end caps on the bottom of the holders so they won't hold water.

    Also thought about drill'n a small hole at the top so you can insert the hook and snug the line up. this will hold the rods in the holder if you hit a big wave at high speed.

    Don't know if this will help but here is that fitting that I was talking about. Just gives you something to think about. It could be plumbed in to the holder. Here ya go!


    If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.:rolleyes:
