Thumbs up atta boy, cuz ...

    Show'em who's boss !!

What area of the lake were you fishing ?? Were the fish mostly sub-legals (<9inches) ?? Did you get any 12"+ fish ?? What were the conditions of the eggs (color & consistancy) ??

I JUST KNEW I shoulda went fishing today :p (but, I was bummed out over our cancelled trip to TN)

If you're still catching them that deep, & in that deep of water ... it would appear that they still aren't quite ready to spawn. That's almost a perfect depth for spider rigging or longline trolling.

When I used to go to GRL, regularly ... it was almost always around/after the third weekend of April. We almost always found them to be in < 6 FOW (in the area between the dam & mid Robinson Creek).

Congrats on the catch .... and thanks for the report !!

Way to go Cuzzin, you're a crappie catching machine. I don't blame you for fishing Green. When we was down there for the bash, that was my first time fishing at Green River and I really like the lake, too bad lived almost 5hrs away. Hope I will be making more trips in the future. Have a good day.

    Default 60 today

Took a friend to Green today and had 60 keepers. Most of our fish came from less than 6 ft. on curly tails, popeyes and jig and minnow cast to and around cover. Biggest today 1lb6oz. I think the spawn is in full swing at Green, as clear as Green is in places I think alot of the fish spawn deep.

    Thumbs up Good job Cuzzin

Congrats on the limits. We fished Green Thurs, Fri and Sat. Got down late Thurs and didn't get on the water till 5:30 pm but still managed to get 18 keepers before dark. Fri we got 60 and Sat we finished with 33 when the storms blew us off the lake. Most of what we caught were 10-15 inches. We spider rigged using minnows. Fished in 7-10 fow. Last weekend we limited out Fri, Sat and sun fishing in 6-8 fow. Alot of the fish we have cleaned has had some blood in the eggs but also some are just starting to get a good sack of eggs. Caught only a few fish with torn fins. The temps had drop some this weekend compare to last weekend. Last was 70-71, this weekend we only found 69.7. Kenneth told us Thurs that they had frost three days in a row and then it rain Firday night when we was there. The fishing is great right now and I believe it will get even better. Good luck to all.

We allways stay at the camper cabins at Holmesbend. They are close to your storage units. We will be down this weekend again. I think we will be there for Fri, Sat and a half day Sun. We are at Kenneths every morning at 5:30 am ( Green River bait and grocery). Give a shout and we'll go try and get some. The more the better. If anyone else wants to join give a shout. Good luck to all.
