Ky River Crappie Are Ready

I got a chance to try out the river this morning between the lighting and tornados and did all right. Of corse you can't fish the river but if you go up a creek that is clearing the crappie are there. We caught 20 no throw backs biggest 16 1/2 several 15s.

Great looking fish. I just wish the rain would let up for a little while.

I hope it slows down to. Some of the creeks on the Ohio should be good if the rain let's up. Just takes a few days for the creeks to clear.

Crappie will be in the calm water just below the overflow dam. Try minnows under slip bobbers.

thanks for the info, going in the morning with minnows. You ever fish in this area? I never caught any yet but Im told there some real nice ones in it.

What creek was you at to bank fish, I still not found one crappie this year by halls. Do you think they not spawned yet.
