2010 Spring Crappie Slayin Get Together ....

Well guys, hope you don't mind, but I wen't ahead and reserved a pavilion for us at Holmes Bend. According to the lady I spoke with at the Corp's of Engineer's, it's a covered pavilion with picnic tables, electric and restrooms. We have it reserved for the whole day on the 10th. It's located right next to Holmes Bend Marina and there is a ramp there for us to launch our boats.

Thought about running it by everyone first, but figured it would be better to have a place reserved so we don't find ourselves looking for a place to have our shindig.

Hope this is okay with everyone.

That's great in my book. Is it like Tom Sawyer Park here just call and reserve or is there a cost involved?? If there is I'm sure that I'm not the only one that will help pay for it.

That's the Wingding weekend here on KY Lake.

That's the best we could probably hope for .... getting a ramp/picnic/restroom setup all in one area ;) And we'll all chip in for any monetary output you had to make ... just let us know the damages.

I started once to mention bringing some "dogs" & stuff ... just as backup ... but, didn't want to jinx us :D -- If anyone feels froggy .... jump :p (you can always just keep the stuff on ice, & take it back home if not needed)

Wannabe fisherman - paper plates, plastic forks/knives/spoons/cups

BadBrad - fish fryers, oil, hushpups, cole slaw

LittleJohn - baked beans

Crappiepappy & Slabdaddy - elec filet knives (others are welcome to bring theirs, too)

Crappiepappy - 2 elec cords, paper towels, couple of large bowls

Mossyoakman/stsburnsy - French Fries - enough for a heaping helping for ~ 10 people

ekyslabber - salt/pepper, corn meal

(NOTE: if you know of something that's not on this list, that we may need, and you can bring it with you .... post it and I'll add it to the list ;) )

OK CP I've got the paper and plastic, napkins and cups and I'll even throw in 4 packs of hot dogs that's 32 dogs. Now if someone will bring buns catchup mustard relish wa-la instant picnic. OH might need a grill and charcoal also.

The last I remember there is a grill there, will make a drive by tomorrow and make sure.

Only a week and a half to the big KY Slab Slayin' get together. If your on the fence about going jump down on the going side and come join us. Looks like it'll be a great time.
