Thread: Cave Run 9-6-09

Had the bug so I went to Cave Run. Went up river for a little change of scenery and to avoid the big crowd. Put in at Bangor and fished this afternoon. Caught around 25 crappie and a couple nice bluegills, kept 10 or so for supper. Most of em were white crappie w/ a couple blacks. Not any big fish, mainly 10-11". Caught em about 10' deep in 15-20 fow. Caught a few on a top in about 6 fow 3ft down. Had best luck w/ minnows on slip bobber. Water temp was 79, water looked good and lotsa schools of good sized shad schooled up near channel. Good luck.
