I had the pleasure of coming home and trying out the crappie fishing this past weekend and man was I glad to be home. My brother had never fished for crappie before and i took him with me and we just loaded up with the over the weekend . We ended up with about 75 good crappie 9 the 11.5 inche range and very thick. we fished all day some lakes we were catching very small blue gills but the time i spent with my brother was great and got better when i saw this lake that looked like a crappie haven according to what i've learned from reading the fishing forum and man do you guys know what you are talking about. it was fun teaching my brother the way crappies bite he was use to setting the hook as soon as he saw the bobber wiggle a little but i told him to let the crappie pull it under before he set the hook because they will test the bait for resistance if they feel it they let go and he missed so many crappie like that then i had him to watch me catch a few and the way they bite he then went back to his ploe and caught 3 right in a row we hammered them it was a good day.
