Fished under the bridge from the shore near the Slough Creek ramp for a few hours before sundown on Friday evening. They were about 10-12' deep in (I'm guessing, based on the fall of the lure) about 16-18 fow. Caught 7 good fighting bass, and one fairly fat crappie (I would guess he was about 12-13"). The pic doesn't do him justice, but he's out there for someone else to catch. I was using a Slabalicious lure with a chartreuse tail, 1/16 oz head, and a "Tuxedo Black" body (light blue on top, fading to black on bottom). The bite was crazy for a couple of hours, especially the bass - and they seemed to want to see the lure move quite a bit faster than summertime. Unfortunately, I had family obligations, so I left before it got dark. I think I might have found a good fall/winter fishing spot. Thanks to another kind fisherman (Mike) for the tips. That's what it's all about, in my book - I don't always catch a lot, but sure do enjoy relaxing and having fun with family and/or new and old friends.
