Great day to be on the water. Caught a couple on trees and a couple out of brushpiles but nothing like it has been. They were biting the best before 08:00. Started getting hot so gave up and went home.

Well Bruce and Haugboss that would be my rig.....big bite 1/16 jighead and a yum 2" tube......Lee got me using swivels last year and I like the movement it gives the jig and I don't think it affects the bite JMO I'm also using more mono this year especially with my fly rod because it slides through the smaller guides easier, of course this setup was no match for that crappie catchin machine Charlie!
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!

Bruce, your reading my mind, been thinking where I'll try on Tuesday and that is one place I wanted to go. Did you try any real shallow stuff(-3), my best fish Friday was in 3 fow. Thanks. Charlie
I tried shallow water but only caught small fish. The few nice ones I caught were in about 12' of water almost on the bottom. They would just take the bait and swim off without hitting it.

Good to hear some reports from the Kansas side of the border. Good luck to all over there.
