I fished Cheney this past weekend (Saturday the 18th to be exact) and we slaughtered the crappie. There were people shoulder to shoulder on the dam and a ton of folks fishing the rocks at the marina. I went to the marina as well. I didn't see many people catching them, but they were going about it all wrong. Almost everyone was tossing minnows under a cork out 10'-15' from the back. The key is to use chartreuse jigs as close to the rocks as possible. I was using a pearl/char. solid body tube and I caught probably 40-50, had maybe 30-35 definitely over the 10" limit. Nearly every single one was caught within a foot from the bank. If you go, get there EARLY so you can snag a good spot because they'll fill up quick.
