I had a great time and probably ate more fried crappie Saturday evening than I've eaten in the last five years. Mucho thanks to huntcapn for his efforts at getting this started and all the effort he put into this. Thumbs Up He really picked some days with great weather for this gathering. Also a special thanks to Slab for this board and the tee shirts.

Lets see if I can get all the names in the correct order for the picture. Standing left to right is slabby joe, kingfish387, Ron Meeder, kscrappeye, propanejon, Front row left to right huntcapn, LBM, Springhill Duckman, jfears, ragnar. Thanks to kingfish387's wife for taking the photo.

Here is ragnar with his big fish for Saturdays big fish tournament.

Here is a happy face with a couple of his fish on the water.

Kingfish387 and his daughter showing him how to catch the fish.

Photos of the folks doing all the work for this event.
Propanejon and slabby joe dressing fish. Ron is making sure they are doing it right.

Huntcapn cooking the spuds and ragnar preparing the roasting ears.

Ron getting the filets ready for the grease.

Huntcapn may be iffy on catching many fish but he for sure can fix those filets up for some great eating. I just noticed in this picture huntcapn just may be pulling the tail of that fish with his right hand so it out weighed my fish below.

I greatly appreciated all those fellows efforts at putting on a great event. My main contribution to this event was a large appetite and I did manage to pull to the surface a piece of brush with those nasty zebra mussels.

All in all I sure had a great time and am willing to contribute a large appetite to the next event.

Hope to make it next year. Had a niece and step son graduation from KSU this weekend. Looks like it was a good time!

I too snagged a several sticks and limbs this weekend covered in zebra mussels while fishing Melvern. It makes me sick to know that this is preventable if only people would engage their brain once in a while. It's too bad that this is happening. I can promise you with the next year or two they will be discovered in Pomona as well. Actually I would bet money they are already in Pomona, the density is just not enough yet for them to be detected.

The sad part is that this is all preventable if people would just use their head for something other than a hat rack.
