    Default Check your weather

May want to be getting on um. Should be some good bite days coming up next 6 days in the eastern part of the state. Cept for changing drawdowns, patterns should really stabilize. I'm gonna put the hammer down. Get some time.

Is this a serious post? My forecast says severe thunderstorms through Monday? I figured this post was going to advise people to check the weather and be cautious before heading out. With current lake levels and more inflow coming the only thing that will be good is the catfishing and standing shoulder to shoulder at the tubes.

I think the message is to FISH WHEN YOU CAN! Isn't that what we all do anyways?

I'm all about getting on them but I've never been mad enough at those fish to put myself or my equipment in danger to catch them. If going out this weekend be smart watch the weather and have a way to get updates on weather. Pay attention on the water probably a whole bunch of floating debris not need to have to by a new prop of lower unit.

What I'm seeing is the day high and lows about the same for the next week with rain everyday. No sign of big fronts and weather changes. Had high water long enough, that ya should be pretty dialed in on your high water spots. Lot of low light conditions. Like today. Heavy clouds, radar says rain may reach us around 2. This morning looked great for eyes. Watch the radar, don't take chances. Haven't fished in the rain, just drizzle, but caught real good fish this week both before and after the rain.

Good example today. Bite was incredible between the noon and 630 rain. Waiting out the 630 rain now. Bite is "REALLY" good.

Really pounced on um today. Got home, found we had 2 27"s. Did maybe 70 today, between 8am and 2pm. Prob 50 casting, rest off the wire, running a 4ft split at 15, taking um high and low. Dipsey around 14 also was getting hit hard. Most fish 21" to 25". Saw a big one swallow bout a 7 crappie on the surface today.
