Post Video - New Garmin Echomap 93sv

I was supposed to be working on my motorcycle but the Big Brown truck showed up and so ......started rigging new Garmin 93sv. The video pretty much says it all. The biggest thing to take away from this is this is a Serious 3rd player in the fresh water game now. the other is how easy it hooks ups and unhooks. So easy to take it off I am almost nervous about rolling down the road with it on the boat but once you snap it in it really is locked in. I almost went with the 1040xs because I was thinking sometime in the future i would figure a way to get that Panoptix system but....pipe dreaming there.

I plan to try it out on the water tomorrow

    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

My TM started life as a 2012 V2 PD that I converted to Ipilot

On the water Video. Super easy to see even in the direct sunlight. Has back lighting and the unit automatically adjust the screen. I was seriously impressed with the Mapping. Never seen anything even close.

The HB 998 HD on my console SI is just as good as the Garmin but I do have the 998 dialed in. This is just day one with the 93sv. The 2D on the garmin I thought was better as was the DI I thought was better on the Garmin. How much better....2D....much better.....DI....slightly. What I kike is how easy it is to work with also. The screen is not cluttered up like the 998 that cheats you out of screen size with the data boxes on the screen that take valuable space away from you, the garmin data is overlaid.

Really nice I have an echo map 70 which does not have the DS or SC. Maybe wished I would have waited. Thanks for the video.

I'm guessing by those 40+ temps you were in the upper end of the lake.
