Cannon, thanks for the info. Do you have the carrying case w/ charger and battery or do you just use the AA batteries and carry it around in your pocket? Just wondering if it's worth the extra $50.

No I was a poor college kid when it came out so I just use the AA battery's and a soft case lunch box...it works just fine. One thing about the battery's is AA's only last about 8-9 hours not the twenty they say, just keep some extras. If the doc gives me the OK tomorrow to get back on this broken ankle I'd give ya a demo

As far as the Showdown goes, I absolutely won't fish without it! One of my buddies Vex's was causing a lot of interference on my Showdown one day and I couldn't catch a fish! It's like shooting into the dark trying to fish without it!
