Default Another Great Weekend On the Ice!!

Hit up a couple of the local watersheds this weekend and had pretty good luck! Saturday I iced 20-25 gills, 20-25 small crappie, and 2 LMB's. This morning I iced 45-50 gills and 8 or 10 crappie and one LMB!!Name: 1528631_3838720823642_1193184912_n.jpg

Nice Joe, I got on some ice a couple weeks ago with my (drum roll) new auger, everythings a toss-up now. Just waiting on some ice or a ramp.

I bought a new Strikemaster Lazer 8" hand auger on clearance this Summer and I haven't used it yet, I'm still using my Mora 6" and it is still pretty fast, I usually have 2 holes drilled and well into the third hole before those guys even have their gas augers started!

But last week I sold a couple of days of vacation and broke down and bought an 8" Ion electric auger...

Cnote, I use the original troller I haven't upgraded to the 2.0 and like it just fine. Three years ago it was my first flasher, its like night and day just having any flasher, I wouldn't fish without it now. And i havent had any problems with it at all. Joe are you using castration bands? Do you like em better than tape?
