Great day to be outside

Started off the day with a little mushroom hunting. My daughter is always up for going. First spot we found one 50 ft from the truck, but all we found were stems from others beating us there. Went to another spot that is a long walk in so nobody messes with it. We found a fair amount. I know we walked over a lot, but my daughter was having a blast. Here she is holding some of the bigger ones we found.


What we picked up


Some other family members picked 2 walmart sacks full, and they had some the largest morels I have ever seen come from around here.

Then it was time to go fishing. Thought it was a little cold for the boat, but the wife was headed to a friend of the family's house. They have a pond so I asked if we could drive a 4wheeler out to go fishing. Got to the pond and 2 wood ducks didn't want to leave. It was a nice day to be out. Caught 2 bass and 2 crappie. Crappie are pretty nice sized, and that is what you catch there usually. Nothing much bigger, nothing much smaller.






Then we finished the day off with some fried morels.


We are both flat worn out.
